Best new app?
So AS sent this to me and thinks it’s the best new app. I can see why it would be very important for a straight guy, and honestly, I am not that offended by it.

Gilligan Island = Seven deadly sins
Ever wondered about the origins of some of our biggest pop culture shows and characters? Here are seven of them for you.

But if Gilligan’s Island represents the 7 Deadly Sins, what is Maryanne supposed to represent?

90210 -- BAG bags Fox
And he has made a comeback — he’s now on Desperate Housewives. I hope his character can last longer than Alfre’s did.
I heart Brian Austin Green. Ever since he graced the small screen as David Silver — I have loved him. Cheesy rap songs and all.
And now he is married to Megan Fox. Love it.

Girl walks into a bar
My friend Moira Muldoon has brought her awesome column from the streets of Austin to the streets of Dallas.
I have had the pleasure of being part of the column. Here is her first one from the Belmont hotel. I am the friend in the story who talks about the reality TV show.
Yeah, Moira!

The DFW area was named the largest growing city in U.S. It grew about 25% from April 1, 2000, to July 1, 2009. It is now estimated to be about 6.5 million people.
Count me in as one of those people that moved here.

Need an iPad case?
I love anything Star Wars, so seeing this makes me want to get an iPad (not that I really needed a reason to get one). I wonder if I would be brave enough to wear this around town.

In honor of BW and SNL
Talk-show host Craig Ferguson said it best “To say ‘I don’t like Betty White’ is kind of like declaring that you’re a member of al-Qaida.”
And he is right, Rose Nylund rocks and I have loved her since I saw her on GG when I was a little girl.
But in honor of her finally make it to the SNL stage, here is a timeline of BW through the years.
Glee radio
Do you think it’s a little out of control? I haven’t quite decided because I still enjoy it a lot.
My friend JL, one of the biggest Gleeks I know, sent this to me today.

Yes, that would be “Glee” radio. Enjoy!

Costume Institute Gala
Monday was the Costume Institute Gala — which means fun fashion. And, of course, who rocked it? - J.LO.
Here is a recap of the event, but check out the pics.
1. That’s not Stedman with Oprah. I love that Oscar de la Renta is the only man pictured.
2. Donatella looks more horsey than SJP
3. Vera Farmiga - no!
4. Elizabeth Banks looks like she escaped from Miley Cyrus’...

Universal Truths
UNIVERSAL TRUTHS 1. I think part of a best friend’s job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die. 2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong. 3. I totally take back all those times I didn’t want to nap when I was younger. 4. There is great need for a sarcasm font. 5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a...
Uma, Oprah .. have you met Keanu?
Every month, I try to win Oprah Winfrey tickets, and this month is no different, except that the show is not offering tickets this month because of the tight production schedule.
But when I went to apply, I did see that they are offering last-minute tickets to their ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ taping. To apply you have to say why you should be in the audience.
Shoot - I just deleted what...
The Bravery of Top Chef
The second episode of Top Chef gets even better. This time they brought on the superb Meki Phifer. I have loved him in everything he has done — and there is just something alluring about his presence. Same can be said with his bday party on Top Chef.
I am finally catching up on ‘Top Chef: Masters’ and was happy to see that the premiere episode had The Bravery on it.

Unschooling
I wouldn’t have minded some unschooling in my life, but alas I went through the public school system.

Weekend in Austin
It took me forever to drive down here, but I finally made it by midnight. I haven’t been to Austin since 2009. I came here in January of this year, but it doesn’t really count because I swung thought town on my way to a wedding.
So now I am here — let the adventures begin. First on the list — pedicure and shopping. Followed by the pool, dinner and Opals?
Double down anyone?
It turns out that though it may seem disgusting, the Double Down, KFC’s latest heart wrenching sandwich, is only 540 calories. It’s supposedly better for you than the Big Mac, though it probably doesn’t taste as good as the Big Mac.
So who is going to take the challenge and eat one? I have to say I am really curious.

Erykah Badu gets a Window Seat
I am a few weeks behind on watching and sharing this video, but I finally watched it and loved it.
Great song, and what balls to do what she did. I couldn’t.

Mmmm, Twisted Root
I finally made it to Twisted Root for one of Dallas’ best burgers. And I have to admit, it was great. I LOVE burgers. They are one of my favorite foods. Nothing on it but the common dressing and mayo. It must have mayo.
I ordered the Buffalo Burger because the menu promised me it was 92% lean. I figured that since I was indulging, I might as well try to make it not too glutenous....
Chinese flock to dwarf theme park
I am not sure how I feel about this. It is completely wrong to sit around stare at people like this, but when interviewed, it seems like those employed at the park are enjoying their new life.

Gleeful Vogue
Even though, everyone who walks with a sashay (and those who wish they did) posted this — I have to, too.
I love Madge and this is brilliant. As a little girl I have tried to re-enact this video to no avail. A little girl walking around with a only a mesh shirt on didn’t really go over well with Mumi.
But Sue Sylvester has inspired me to try again — yes!

Yeah, Big Macs
I can’t help it, I really love McDonalds. Even after watching “Food, Inc.” and “Supersize Me”, I am so tempted to get these burgers. I’ll have to starve myself in anticipations of the calories, or work out. Yes, yes, working out is the better option.
McDonalds is offering a special offer on April 15th – Buy one Big Mac, Get one for 1¢!! As always, check your...

Judit & Judit the comhem girls who already nod to Snapple’s Wanda, have created a homage to all those virals out there in this 45 spot to celebrate that Comhem has delivered internet to Sweden since 1999. Real World returns to New Orleans
I am still a huge fan of this show, and I have been watching all the season — sadly. New Orleans was one of my favorite seasons, I think it’s because I have such a connection to this city. Everyone remembers the NO cast for the Mormon, the hot gay guy, the hot straight guy, the girl who married Baily, and Melissa — the booty, the boots and the boa.
Well the show is returning...

Corey Haim - R.I.P
This is so wrong. I know we all take it to this level, but where does the sacredness of life come into consideration. It comes and it goes; is it really that sacred anyways? I am beginning to think not.
